The Retrofit QQI Level 5 – Skills for Work Course is a 4-week training program which we run in collaboration with LOETB in our state-of-the-art Retrofit Workshop on site here and funded through a Just Transition Grant, designed to provide essential skills in energy-efficient home retrofitting. This course covers key areas such as insulation, air-tightness, ventilation, legislation relating to Conservation of Energy in Ireland, Identifying principles of heat loss in a dwelling, characteristics of insulation materials, key characteristics of draft-proofing materials  ensuring compliance with regulations issued by NSAI.

Participants will benefit from a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on practical training, making it ideal for those looking to enter the growing retrofit sector or upskill in sustainable building practices for construction. Upon successful completion, learners will receive a QQI Level 5 certification, along with other skills for work certified training, enhancing career opportunities in the green energy and construction industries.
